Where Auto Mode Falls Short
Automation only works as well as the sensor feeding it. Blueair’s auto mode is a good example of the confusion factor: if you expect gas response but installed the Particle filter, the unit will never react to odors. Dyson’s continuous monitoring default is the other trap: leave it off and the purifier can’t react to overnight changes the way you expect. The fix is one toggle in the app, but you have to know it exists.
