So I like the light they give and they seem to last all night. They come on bright when you get near. I like the stainless steel housing. Seems to look a little more stylish.I installed them on my outside stairs posts.What I don’t like is they have only one screw fastening in the middle. They come with two sided tape too but that won’t work on pressure treated posts. So with the screw they will spin around if you just use the one screw. And there is no second screw hole to hold them straight. They need two screws to stay straight. I solved the problem by making wooden brackets to hold them in place at the top.We shall see on the longevity and how well they work as the winter months come.

Sturdy metal with ‘rain glass’, and they do the job! Installation on a 1980s built house was a bit of a hassle. They come with a round mounting plate with two fixture mounting screws pre-installed that go through the two holes in the fixture base (they ship with the bracket connected to the fixture this way with crown nuts).A small bag of hardware has more crown nuts, little rubber washers, three small wire nuts and long screws to mount the bracket to the base in the wall. In my case, their screws were too long, so I re-used the shorter screws from the old mounting. Their wire nuts are only designed for single house wire and their skimpy stranded (pre-stripped) wires. If you have two lights on the same circuit, one will already have two wires in each wire nut. Either re-use the larger wire nuts if they’re still good or find some larger ones.Unfortunately, the fixture mounting screws are too long for the black crown nuts provided to secure the fixture, even with the little rubber washers provided. So I loosened the fixture mounting screws and backed them down about a quarter inch BEFORE mounting the bracket. Use needle nose pliers to loosen and re-tighten the nuts that secure the fixture mounting screw to the plate. That way, the crown nut secures the fixture nicely, but may need one washer.The only other issue was when the holes on the base in the wall are at the top and botttom (12 and 6 positions), the mounting bracket won’t mount with the mounting screws level. I had to remove and relocate the mounting screws to unthreaded areas in the same ‘ring’ as the threaded mounting screw holes. That required metal washers and spacers to mount them securely leaving the same length as noted above. Good reason to keep old nuts and washers around from previous projects, which saved me a trip to the hardware store.In my case, it took me about 5 hours to install 8 light fixtures. The first one took the longest time since I had to install it by trial and error. They do look nice though!

I bought these for work as we had a hallway that was dark. Just one of these did better than the 4 canister light bulbs already there. I replaced all 4 with these bulbs and wow!So looking at my laundry room with the additional lamps and shop lights just to see the washing machine, I decided to buy some of these bulbs for my house. Wow! Just one made the laundry room so bright you almost needed sun glasses.Bought some for my moms kitchen as well.It’s almost like why would you suffer with dim lights? These bulbs will transform a room by making it brighter. They come on instantly and do not flicker. I wouldn’t recommend dimming but that may work.I will be buying more to have on backup. Once you see this brightness, you wont go back to regular led bulbs. The extender comes in handy. This seller included them for each bulb. Some sellers make you buy them separately.

These were the least expensive option for this style LED light and I’m cheap so I gave them a try. I bought a total of eight of these for my garage – 7 work great and one flashes constantly and is unusable so 88% of them are great – a good solid B. I was replacing existing fluorescent fixtures with these and had to install new new light sockets, by the time I got around to it the return window for these was closed or I would have returned the defective unit. Oh, well for the price they are still very good. Extra credit goes to the inclusion of an optional extension to move the bulb away from the fixture to allow the moveable panels to be swiveled “up” if you wish without them hitting the ceiling. Even with the bad one I would buy again for the price.

I just put these in my garage yesterday, and couldn’t be happier. Screwed them into my standard 60w sockets and it was like I’d installed skylights. It went from a dim, yellow glow to a brilliant white. I wouldn’t call it a “warm” light, per se (more like shop or hospital lighting), but I was going for brightness and 2 of these completely lit up my 2-car garage. I was a little nervous buying the cheaper option – but so far it’s been a great choice! (I can’t comment on longevity yet, though.)They come fully assembled. Just take them out of the box, pull a little cap off the screw, and twist them into place. Couldn’t be easier.

These came well packaged, and I like the extender you can use as an option. If you can change a light bulb you can install these. Excellent light in the garage now, I live in Minnesota so it gets cold out there and unlike CFL bulbs – these are immediate bright! I have a 3 car garage and have the 2 installed and they work great, expecting my 2nd box today for my wife’s laundry room and my work shop! Had the first set for 3 days so I can’t speak to longevity – but like most LED’s they should last many years!

So, so disappointed. Lights are beautiful &contemporary, stand out in the neighborhood & are different. I was building my house for the past year & moved in 2 weeks ago. The electrician put up all the lights & I had to modify my siding to get them to sit right. In less than 2 weeks the 56 inch set starting blinking and BOTH at the same time the fuses Blew and neither of them work. BRAND NEW…and ZATAN nor AMAZON will do NOTHING to compensate me.
