Two Ways To Treat Acidic Well Water
Two home treatment methods dominate, and the Water Systems Council lists both: acid neutralizing filters and chemical feed pumps that inject a neutralizing solution.
Acid left untreated is corrosive. Connecticut Department of Public Health guidance warns that acidic water can damage plumbing, pressure tanks, water heaters, and fixtures — so treatment protects the whole house, not just the tap.
